I'M BACK!!!!!!!!

Anyways, thought i would use this for a change (procrastination 1).

I'm currently nearing the end of my second year of uni, which has had several ups and downs, and there have been several developments recently, but i have got my final year project underway (planning wise anyways), and have new house mates to live with next year, as well as a new house, but more about that in a later post

The main purpose of this is for a nice long rant about a specific website, the case in point this time being http://www.laddertheory.com/. Check it out with you want a blow to your self esteem or want to get angry.

This website is the most preposterous thing i have ever read, it is basically stating that a man and woman can not be friends unless the man is not interested, gay or in a relationship (or any combination of the above), and goes on to try defend that by saying most women are only interested in money and/or power, all men are shallow, and everything is done according to pie charts.

He (yes, it's a bloke saying this, surprise surprise) then goes on to say that men should never be friends with women unless the man is not interested, and goes on to say that being a friend (the so called friend zone) is the worst thing in the world, and later tries to defend his theory by saying that he is right and everyone else is wrong.

Oh and guess what else... apparently guys that are just friends with girls are the lowest of the low, that marriage is worse, and that friends with benefits is the best thing to get.

Well guess what mate... you have just gone and pissed off JIMMY

i am only going to say this once... JOG ON MATE... everything you are saying is complete and utter Grade A Tripe.
1)Can't be a friend with women unless i want to sleep with them? Strike 1... i can, and am, friends with many girls, and i do not bring what my second brain thinks into it. There is nothing wrong with being friends with girls, and you can actually learn a few things if you just talk to them.

2) All women are *insert derogatory word here* (i aint gonna sink down to his level)
Strike 2: I don't know what women you've met mate, but i can kinda guess where you met them. You've obviously been hanging around the wrong crowds. Once again, women may talk, but you have obviously only been hearing the bad, or what you want to here. Guys should listen to most things that women say, not just the part about them.

3) Nice guys will never get laid, and be stuck lonely
Strike 3: *slow clap* well done... that is the most stupid, pointless, shallow, derogatory, prejudiced, stupid thing i have ever heard, though that doesn't take much doing. I'm a nice enough guy, helpful, kind, and one thing, if i had to choose between sleeping with my current friends and loosing them, or not sleeping with them ever, i would always choose the second option, mainly cause... SEX AINT EVERYTHING...

And on that topic, can i just say this, there are more things in life than procreation, such as the tweeting of birds, the flowers in the meadows, video games, drinking, friends and fun. It's people like Dallas Lynn (the creator of this theory) that make people feel like crap, and honestly, i expected more solid data and results from a man of a pseudo science (sociology), and can appreciate that it is his opinion, but his opinion can not be generalized.

huh... i am posting on time, but i missed last weeks one... mainly because i had nothing to say

nothing to really say this week... got exams coming up and i am back for the weekend, but as of the 6th of June, i am back for the summer ... only got to go back to finalise house stuff and that

As for the actions, lets just say, that the end product is starting to become apparent.

sorry i haven't posted for a couple of weeks... been busy with uni work and stuff... nothing much has changed recently, though i have to decide what i am gonna do for my second year...

That's it, i'm afraid... nothing else to post... should hopefully be back to normal by thursday, but i wouldn't count on it
